Atlanta's Hip Hop Superstar Showcases Dual Nozzle Cryo Gun by Atlanta Special FX

CO2 Cryo Jets Rock The Stage for Buzz Fest: Houston TexasCheck out this new video of the CO2 jets manufactured by Atlanta Special FX for a band called "The Last Place You Look". The jets were used by the band for the recent Buzzfest Concert sponsored by 94.5FM out of Houston Texas. The song you are hearing is "Dont Make It So Easy" and the jets are being controlled with a DMX power relay kit, also sold by Atlanta Special FX. This popular concert effect is used by venues all across the world and is a great alternative to pyrotechnics, which we all know are more dangerous. Using the proper lighting this visual effect can be made to simulate a flame.

Do CO2 Cryo Jets Set Off Smoke Alarms

Over the past several months we have been asked if CO2 cryo jets or the handheld CO2 cryo guns will set off smoke alarms in nightclubs and event venues; and here is a great video demonstrating how they will not set of the alarms in a normal setting.  When properly installed more than a few feet away from a direct blast into a smoke alarm, the rapidly evaporating CO2 will not set off smoke alarms.  This super cold visual effect is used by hundreds of nightclubs and production companies around the world and we have yet to hear of one setting off a smoke alarm when used as instructed.  Our friends over at POSH Ent were kind enough to share this video of one of Atlanta Special FX handheld cryo guns being blasted directly at a smoke alarm by Felix Lopez, a fireman with the Bayonne Fire Department.  As you can see when placed more than a few feet from the smoke alarm, the 15 foot blast of dense CO2 fog does not set the alarm off.  However when he walks within 3 feet of the alarm it does go off.  Thanks for the great video and please feel free to contact www.AtlantaSpecialFX.com with any CO2 cryo jet questions.  Enjoy.

CO2 Cryo Jets Keep Tongue And Groove Even Cooler with UFC in Atlanta

In case you missed it last weekend the UFC was welcomed into Atlanta with open arms.  Phillips arena hosted what was quite possibly the most anticipated fight of all time between champion John Jones and contender Rashad Evans.  To kick off the event one of the Atlanta hot spots Tongue and Groove invited one of Atlanta's own, Spencer Phillips, to bring a crew of his UFC buddies through for a fun night on the town. Atlanta Special FX was there in full effect to help keep the place cool with a couple of the high pressure CO2 jets and the popular handheld CO2 cryo guns. If you were at Tongue and groove and glanced into the VIP you would have seen intense blasts of super cold white fog on the faces, Ryan Bader, Gray Maynard, Aaron Simpson, Chris Weidman, Clay Harvison and even GSP; thats right even Georges St Pierre.  Atlanta Special FX owner Michael Willett commented "We are glad to help those who help support our company and products, so when Spencer asked me to bring something that would excite the crowd, I knew they needed some CO2 cryo jets." Other names you might recognize that were there with Mr. Phillips were Mike Mcliesh, owner of Head Rush along with MTV and BMX superstar TJ Lavin.  All I can say is what weekend and thank you to Tongue and Groove for taking great care of these guys and making sure they had a great weekend.
